With the launch of Zica, Tata motors will proved that its designing studio and the R&D department can produced a car with impressive and amazing features to compete with any Japanese or Korean cars in the country.
Tata has brought out Zica after extensive customer research by experts from both India as well as from the UK to compete with the likes of Hyundai i10 Grand and Maruti Celerio.
One will be very much impressed by its agile stance and very sharp looks. The front has trapezoidal headlamps that houses a hexagonal grille in between with a chrome strip running underneath and also a three dimensional Tata logo on it. There are chrome bezels for the fog lamps which are integrated into the front bumper.
The 14-inch alloy wheels also go with the sculpted look of the Zica. The shoulder line running across the side gives the car an aristocratic look. The rear part is handsome too with protruding tail lamps and a well-integrated sporty spoiler on the hatch.
Entirely different interior from other Tata products
Just peep into the car and you will find a fresh and entirely different interior from other Tata products with a layered design dashboard in grey color, a hexagonal centre console in piano black color, housing the audio system and the AC controls below it.
The instrument cluster in the Tata Zica has new sporty look with the speedometer, tachometer, tripmeetr, distance to empty indicator and also has a gear indicator with an upshift prompter. Tata has provided space for placing mobile phones and other stuff.
The manufacturer has provided enough space for the driver, front passenger and passengers at the rear. This car has a big 272-liter boot quite adequate for weekend outings.
Impressive riding quality
Tata Zica will impress everyone with its unexpected ride quality. The suspension is set on the softer side and works well in the city.
The Zica’s engines have been developed by AVL of Austria, along with Tata Motor’s team.
The 1199cc, 3-cylinder petrol engine will develop 84 bhp of peak power at 6,000 rpm and a maximum torque of 114 Nm at 3,500 rpm, while the 1047cc, 3-cylinder diesel engine will develop a maximum power of 69 bhp at 4,000 rpm and a peak torque of 140 Nm at 1,800–3,000 rpm.
