Tata Motors, which had brought out many successful sedans such as Tata Indigo, Tata Manza and Tata Zest, is going to launch yet another revolutionary sedan, the much awaited, Tata Zica, which is a short form of ‘Zippy’ and ‘Car’ in January first week. Unique design entirely different from its existing models
Tata Zica is a new budget sedan with a unique design entirely different from its existing models under ‘Project Kite’. Tata Zica incorporates Tata’s HorizonNext design language with a bold and sculpted look. This car has a unique wide mesh grille and swept back headlamps. The tail is redesigned for modern and fresh looks with horizontal tail lamps. The bumper also gets the mesh treatment with a horizontal bar and chrome surround for fog lamps. The rear meanwhile, looks thoroughly modern with striking albeit slightly small tail lamps and a discreet spoiler.
Roomy cabin with enough leg and head room
This time Tata Motors, as usual has made the cabin roomy with enough leg and head room. The base variant will come with a piano-black finish on the center console, seat covers with back pockets and a few more switchable options. The vehicle might also get an orange or red color finish on certain parts such as steering wheel, center console, interior door handles and gear lever. The top end car will come with the ConnectNext infotainment system with Bluetooth compatibility.
Tata Zica Engine specifications:
Tata Zica will be available in both petrol and diesel variants. The 1199cc, 3-cylinder Revotron petrol engine will develop a maximum power of 84 bhp at 6,000 rpm and a zenith torque of 114 Nm at 3,500 rpm, while the 1047cc, 3-cylinder ‘Revotorq’ diesel engine will develop a maximum power of 69 bhp at 4,000 rpm and a peak torque of 140 Nm at 1,800 – 3,000 rpm. With some of its compotators are coming out with Auto-Manual transmission (AMT), Tata Motors may also come out with an ATM version as it gains popularity, the company said.
One of the safest cars in its class
With safety features such as dual airbags, 9th generation ABS (anti-lock braking system) with EBD (electronic brakeforce distribution), corner stability control, rear parking sensors with display on infotainment screen and energy absorbing body structure, the Tata Zica will be one of the safest cars in its class.
Other features include, power windows, Power steering, AC with heater, Steering mounted controls, ABS, Alloy wheels, 22 Utility Spaces, first-in-segment multi-drive modes – City and Eco, dual path suspension and a large 240-litres boot space.
